    Instructors Wanted

    We are always looking for new ideas and teachers for NEW classes.  If you have any interest in teaching in the following areas, or if you have a class that you would be interested in teaching to the public, please contact us at (585) 344-7704. Areas of interest are:

    Woodworking, heating, refrigeration, air conditioning, industrial hydraulics, heavy equipment, diesel mechanics, electrical.  Art: rubber stamps, watercolor painting, jewelry making, scrapbooking, digital photography; dance: ballroom, swing, line dancing; languages: French, German, Spanish.

    Closings

    The Adult Education classes in the region will be canceled if regular BOCES programs are canceled. Closings will be announced on the following stations:

    • WBTA 1490 (Batavia)
    • 930 AM, 102.5 FM (Buffalo)
    • 1180 am, 100.5 FM (Rochester)

    GI Bill® Eligibility

    The term GI Bill ® refers to any Department of Veterans Affairs education benefit earned by members of Active Duty, Selected Reserve, and National Guard Armed Forces and their families. The benefit is designed to help service members and eligible veterans cover the costs associated with getting an education or training.  All of the Adult Education Programs offered by the Partnership are eligible for GI Bill ® funding for qualified applicants.

    Literacy Services

    New York State pays for the costs of most literacy services and most individuals qualify. If individuals do not qualify for free literacy services, the following rates apply:

    ·      A $14 per hour or $250 per month rate for literacy services (ABE, GED Classes),

    ·      All students are charged a one-time materials fee of $50.00
