Agriculture Production

  • The Agriculture Production Program offers students a unique opportunity to explore animal anatomy and physiology; genetics and breeding; animal production operations, including breeds and types. Animal handling, management, and care are practiced with a variety of species. Topics such as water conservation and protection, land, and soil resources; recycling and managing waste products, and plant anatomy and physiology are also part of this curriculum. Specialized skills in such areas as grooming, marketing, and leadership are also emphasized. Employment opportunities include agricultural business, agriculture production, animal science, food science, farm and ranch management, and plant science. Careers in this rapidly growing field often offer high salaries and good work benefits.

    This program is only offered at the Mount Morris Career and Technical Education Center.

    Third-year science credit is available.
