Intensive Therapeutic Program and Services
-
The Intensive Therapeutic Program (ITP) is a full-day program in a 6:1:1 setting for students whose management needs are determined by the home schools' Committee on Special Education to be highly intensive and require a high degree of individualized attention and intervention. The program is designed to support the educational, social/emotional, and behavioral needs of students in grades K-12 who are experiencing school-related and/or family challenges that disrupt their education. Students who attend the Genesee Valley BOCES ITP program need comprehensive and intensive support for emotional and behavioral needs, which includes mental health support, crisis intervention, psychological consultation, and/or psychiatric consultation. Academic instruction is delivered through specially designed instruction and is aligned with New York State Learning Standards for successful completion of New York State assessments and a New York State Diploma.
