Procedure for Requesting an Accommodation

  • Accommodations will be considered case-by-case for individuals who meet eligibility under applicable statutes. The request for accommodation must have attached an evaluation, and documentation of a disability from a licensed mental health professional. It must have occurred within one calendar year of the applicant's request. The evaluator's report must provide clear evidence of a disability, including a statement describing the condition, how the condition was diagnosed, a description of current functional limitations, and if pertinent, the prognosis. The documentation should contain the evaluator's detailed recommendations concerning specific disability -related accommodations, stating clearly how the recommended accommodations are logically related to
    functional limitations. Recommendations from other post-secondary institutions will not be accepted. An Individualized Educational Plan (IEP), 504 plans. A recommended accommodation will not be authorized if the accommodation would create an undue hardship for the school or compromise the essential nature of the program or activity or provide an unsupported advantage to one applicant over another in the admission process.

    ALL Accommodations requests must be submitted with the application to be considered for that
    program year.
