Batavia Career and Technical Education Center Award Winners

Tyelor Courtwright, Attica, $2,000
Tyelor is a student enrolled in our Justice Academy program. He plans to obtain his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from SUNY Geneseo. Tyelor will then go on to earn a Law Degree where he will utilize his passion for the law as a corporate lawyer.

Brenna Munn, Notre Dame, $1,500
Brenna is a student from our Health Careers Academy program. She plans to attend Kings College in Pennsylvania where she is pursuing a career as a Physician’s Assistant. While attending college, Brenna also plans to play hockey.

Elliot Dietrich, Caledonia-Mumford, $1,000
Elliot is a student at the Health Careers Academy.  He is planning to attend the University at Buffalo, majoring in Nursing. Through shadowing, he has taken an interest in Emergency Medicine and is looking to become an EMT in addition to his college courses.

Mount Morris Career and Technical Education Center Award Winners

Maggie Bacon, Dansville, $2,000
Maggie is a student in the Sports Science Academy who will be attending St. John Fisher to major in Sport Management. Maggie is a member of the National Technical Honor Society and holds leadership roles in multiple clubs and organizations. She is a dedicated member of her community and is involved in many service projects. Maggie’s goals include working in the sports industry in a management role where she can empower women in a male-dominated industry and be a positive influence on those around her.

Tiffany Young, Dansville, $1,500
Tiffany is a student in the Human Services program who will be attending St. John Fisher to major in Psychology. She is a member of the National Technical Honor Society and received the Livingston County Teen Recognition award.  The psychology program at St. John Fisher will pave the way for her to reach her career goal of becoming a forensic psychologist or a psychologist who works with children and families.

Carlee Scaccia, York, $1,000
Carlee is a student in the Cosmetology program who will be attending Monroe Community College to major in Small Business. Carlee is a member of the National Technical Honor Society and her passion and creativity for doing nails have helped her excel in becoming a nail technician. She will be attending MCC to obtain her business degree attending with the goal of owning her own nail salon.
